I recorded a 2 hour mix back in November – it didn’t really have a purpose at the time, I just wanted to play some tunes. After a couple of months, I rediscovered it & it made me think of this period of limbo & tension in the northeast when winter is slowly but surely giving way to small hints of spring. It’s such a nostalgic feeling experiencing the dramatic change between seasons again, as tiny flowers & bulbs start popping up everywhere & after living in California for so long where the seasons are more mild. I remember always having a very visceral excitement around spring as a kid, seeing the world come alive again after a long, dark winter. This mix for me represents that push & pull between the two seasons
