The basic idea of Betamax, just like the video format, is that a quality product is being pushed out of the market because of the masses, although in most cases it is a better product compared to the popular ones. The music we create matches Betamax, and the mainstream and all the other popular underground music are VHS representatives. This release does not go along with the style of the masses, it does not try to apply to any wave of popularity. Four performers with their own individual music perspectives and similar thinking that there is no need to gratify the audience. Dubonautik is an electronic music concept with emphasis on a live performance by creating music on the fly. It aims to tap into the echoes of one’s mind through deep, edgy sounds for inner inspections. Jack Krass, is a DJ, producer, event organizer, singer and the founder of Play4n4 project. His music is a polystylistic combination of house, funk, soul and techno. His motto “No matter what I do, it is four to the floor” became the inspiration for the Play4n4 collective. Jack is always looking forward, and one of his main goals is to break the boundaries of genres in order to develop his unique and recognizable style. And the incognito artist – Jean Lavandier, with the darker perspective of the sound. SMPL SMPL believes that it is very important to produce good music, to believe in it and to give people what they need instead of what they want. For exactly the same reason, the idea arose to make Betamax Radio series to disclose his understanding of underground dance music.
