Since arriving on the Australian music scene in 2018, Sydney electronic artist Pat Carroll has truly blossomed into his sound while maintaining an innovative outlook on production with each release – something that is once again on show with his new 3-track ‘Branching’ EP.

Return Me: A slow building collaboration with Sydney singer-songwriter Ivy-Jane Browne, Return Me launches with swirling electronic instrumentation that is interwoven with Browne’s brooding vocals.

Branching: The title track of the project, Branching is an instrumental masterwork from Pat. His eye for intricacy is on show, with uplifting synths forging the foundation for a high-energy drum pattern that evolves as the song progresses.

Tectonics: A track that is almost onomatopoeic in title and sound, Tectonics rounds out the EP with Pat’s signature, club-driven intensity. Quirky instrumentals paired with breakbeat drums and a soothing synth line.

Safe to say, it has been a busy 2-years for Pat, who juggles production with his studies in electroacoustic music composition as a PhD candidate at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
