South Pacific psychic noise outfit The Pleasure Majenta.
Commonly known as ‘The Pleasure’, they are originally from New Zealand, now residing in Berlin. They play a heavy blend of dark cowboy song-writing and industrial pulsating rhythms, tip-toeing between beauty and chaos.
With their fourth album ‘Looming, the Spindle’, The Pleasure Majenta offer a terrifying and sublime mix of noise, broken electronics and guitar feedback that begs to remain untamed. Picking through the pieces of loss, grief, connection and paranoia, throwing them up in the air to see where they land. It’s a process soaked in pain.
‘Looming, The Spindle’ is out Friday, July 15 on Dedstrange, the NY label by Death By Audio & A Place To Bury Strangers’, Oliver Ackermann.
