Yanatz is the producer name of the acclaimed drummer and composer Janko Novoselic. Based in Zagreb, Croatia, he has been working for almost two decades as a drummer in forward-thinking bands of the region (Bilk, Tobogan, Kozmodrum). He also worked as a session musician, both in jazz as well as electronic worlds, playing with people like Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Tim Story on one side and Alan Broadbent and Didier Lockwood on the other. During all this time, Novoselic was always working on his own music; sometimes ambient, sometimes experimental, mostly dance club oriented but always in the domain of electronica. Slowly putting out releases under names Strobelyx, Yanatz and Kozmodrum, each of these projects/bands/albums recieved critial and public praise and some of it even won some regional awards.
