Buffete is pleased TEFFEBU テフェブ a new record label that seeks to unite hemispheres and harmonise societies through a synthesis of art, music, poetry, and theatre. Eastern and Western cultures are often discussed as dichotomies being inherently incompatible and conflictual in nature. When the mystic arts are examined more carefully though, the resemblance is uncanny: From Ryokan’s poetry to Nezahualcoyot’s songs, the force of the Tao to the force of the Teotl, the mystic Yamabushi to the spiritual Huicholes – the cultures are invariably intertwined at their mystic roots. When we traveled to Japan a few years back, the parallels between the two cultures became visceral and tenacious. Thus, a natural bond was formed and a crescendo of ideas culminated into TEFFEBU テフェブ – A juxtaposition of multidisciplinary artistic expression exclusively created to collaborate with Japanese artists that we admire and love.
