This is my second single release and another indie rock song with an acoustic guitar in it about the confusion that comes with dating when you are young and those moments when you tell yourself [well… actually “I don’t need anybody” cuz.. “I’ve got everyone” but.. do I???] I am going to release another lyric video for this song on 3.26.2021. My music has been compared to Jelani Aryeh, Jamie Cullum, Paolo Nutini as indie rock with some soulful undertones.
The former bass player comes from an alternative rock band and is now focusing on his own music. Like many artists, Too Many Leaders had a change of plans due to the pandemic last year. Pivoting from band to solo work, with help from NYC musicians along the way. In “Shy lips” he got some rhythm guitar help from a friend and neighbor Alden Copeland and Luke Markham was on drums.
Alden says Zoltan went into a mean Milly Rock while recording the vocals of the song which highlights the world Too Many Leaders tries to push the listener into with smooth vocals over a more abrupt instrumentation.
