xenonyms is thrilled to present Loose Cannons, the debut LP by Deltahedron. A dystopian take on the modern bass music landscape with a cinematic touch.
The album follows a 3 act story about the world experiencing massive conflicts for natural resources compounded by the climate crisis. The struggle manifests as a looping narrative, a race against the clock with almost identically disappointing results every time.
Shady strategies play out on the Geopolitics stage powered by the greed of Global Corporations and Military-Industrial complex. The effect is existentialism inducing chills and reckless arrogance in face of a raging earth.
Everything seems ready for the dominoes to topple over in Mutually Assured Destruction fashion. A sense of paralysis takes hold when in threat of a conflict yet living on borrowed time. It must go this way, …right?
Inspired by bass, dubstep, 140 and club tracks, the industrial drums use distortion and heavy compression to amplify their crushing weight, pummeling the sound into a relentless waving pattern. Impactful synths tower over the tracks hardly letting them breathe. That is contrasted by spacious atmospheres with highly detailed textures which lure you to the ethereal blissful abyss.
