Will Olsen, better known as Boy With Boat, is one of Australia’s most exciting young producers, DJs and live performers.

Based out of the river city of Brisbane, his dynamic take on melodic techno, progressive house and electronica has attracted the attention of heavyweight labels like Recovery Collective, Interfonic, Ballroom and Open Records, alongside rocking mainstage sets at major festivals Earth Frequency, Elements and more.

After receiving an arts grant from the Australian Government-backed QMusic, Boy With Boat’s debut album Perspective features 14 stellar tunes across the full spectrum of his sound. Thick Of It is the first taste of this monumental work that will be released via his new home of Open Records in late July, out now alongside a grinding remix by regular collaborator Tom Baker.

If you think this is impressive, consider the fact Will wrote the entire album while juggling working on the frontlines of the pandemic as a pharmacist and studying for his PhD at one of Australia’s most prestigious universities. He’s a regular renaissance man!
