As should be expected, the internet was flooded this week with various bits of audio and video from an array of top-notch international artists, and a sizable portion of those choice items have made their way into this week’s installment of Press Play. Our latest edition of this feature series includes remixes, original productions, music videos, album streams, premieres, and more from the likes of Daft Punk, Zomby, Four Tet, Gang Gang Dance, Atoms for Peace, Moby, Lindstrøm, Offshore, and Ghostpoet. The entirety of Press Play‘s bounty can be experienced after the jump.
No one expected it, but it definitely makes sense: Daft Punk got the 8-bit treatment on this version of its brand-new Random Access Memories single, “Get Lucky.”
Following the release of Moby & Mark Lanegan’s new “The Lonely Night” single, XLR8R is premiering this remix of the tune by German artist Gregor Tresher.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Four Tet was treated to a remix from Thom Yorke’s Atoms for Peace band, who delivered this take on Pink standout “Pyramids.”
Also coming from Atoms for Peace this week is this clip of a live version of the title track from its new AMOK LP, performed live at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge club.
Right before Zomby announced his forthcoming double-disc With Love album, the anonymous producer was caught on video sharing new music during a show at Tokyo Fashion Week.
The latest video to surface from Bonobo’s new The North Borders LP is this clip for “First Fires (feat. Grey Reverend).”
Brian DeGraw of Brooklyn psych-dance outfit Gang Gang Dance contributed his remix of “Monkey Riches” to the forthcoming EP from Animal Collective.
Here’s a cover of Lindstrøm’s “Rà-àkõ-st” single from last year, oddly enough by retro-focused indie band Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
Well after the producer born Ewan Robertson passed away, his Offshore remix of Lockah’s “Now U Wanna” hit the internet to the delight of his fans.
Here’s a mini-mix of the music featured on Ghostpoet’s upcoming sophomore album Some Say I So I Say Light.
First, Clouds gave away one of the remixes from its upcoming record for Fifth Wall, and now, the Scottsh duo is streaming its warehouse-ready Man Out of Dubs EP in its entirety.
XLR8R staff writer Glenn Jackson traded remixes with Detroit producer and 100% Silk affiliate Coyote Clean Up, resulting in this pair of solid tunes.
Speaking of Glenn Jackson, the busy guy also remixed Cascine-signed Michigan producer RxGibbs alongside up-and-coming Seattleite Kid Smpl.
The Birth Body EP—releasing next week via Svetlana Industries’ brand-new Woetone imprint—is a four-track enigma of a record produced by experimental sound manipulators Ssaliva and Wanda Group.
Lifted from its forthcoming Creeper EP for Brooklyn’s Ceremony label, Braxton/Palmer’s “Creeper, Pt. 2” track is a smoothly upbeat and funky slice of breezy house music.
Check out this full stream we have of iO Sounds’ upcoming You/Me EP for Diamond & Raw, which also features remixes from the likes of Mak & Pasteman and Lakosa.
