Pioneer has detailed a new digital deck to be introduced later this month. While this latest piece of equipment from the gear manufacturer does keep with some of the standard features of a CDJ, including its signature jogwheel and rekordbox music management and selection software, there are two major differences. As the name suggests, the XDJ-1000 won’t take CDs, instead playing exclusively off USB sticks. Pioneer has also introduced a large, full-color touchscreen that enables users to search for music efficiently through a keyboard display.

Arriving on the market at some point this month, the XDJ-1000 will retail at an estimated price of €999, and an introductory video—showing four of the XDJ-1000s in use—can be watched below. (via Resident Advisor)
