Today, New York electronic music portal and event series Percussion Lab (run in part by Praveen Sharma (a.k.a. Braille, half of Sepalcure) released a compilation featuring the likes of Machinedrum, Daedelus, XLR8R‘s own Contakt, Lando Kal, Sepalcure, Mux Mool, and many more. Here, we have Shigeto‘s contribution to Percussion Lab Presents: Cambio, called “Friends and Lovers,” which is a touch warmer and more cohesive than what we’ve come to know the Detroit-based artist for. A relaxed-yet-regal melody stands out almost like a bell tower, while a jazzy bassline and some delightfully energetic keyboard riffs eventually join in on the instrumental love song.
