Hailing from Buenos Aires, Rafa Caivano and Lisandro Sona (a.k.a. Frikstailers) together craft a unique brand of digital cumbia, incorporating a number of glowing synth sounds and elegant doses of psychedelia into their production palette. Serving as the title track to the outfit’s forthcoming EP for Argentinean label ZZK, “Crop Circles” embodies the production pair’s aims, lacing the steady bounce of a percussive beat with generous layers of space-age synths and far-off melodies. Dropping in mid-June, Frikstailers’ forthcoming EP is set to coincide with the group’s upcoming European tour, the complete dates for which can be peeped after the jump.
