The punchy, Leeds-based alternative hip hop and electronica outfit Paper Tiger is back after their recent hiatus with a fresh and newly improved sound. Taking time to write and draw from new inspirations, the band is back together with a slew of unreleased funky material that is both compelling and infectious.

With its new album coming out this spring, XLR8R was beyond pleased when the group reached out and offered up the single “I’m A Cyborg (But that’s Okay),” their first piece of new material to hit the airwaves in over eighteen months. Coated in melodic, bleeping tones and choppy vocals, Paper Tiger manages to make it sound as if the tune is teeming with robotic life while successfully keeping the track spacious and breathing from start to finish.

“We really think we’ve defined (and refined) our sound. This new music is funkier, weirder, and better than anything we’ve done before. Expect this to ‘go off’ in the club, provided your club is on another planet!” – Greg Surmacz (Paper Tiger)
