Andrew Broder—best known for making lo-fi indie rock as Fog—recently took a musical detour with his Wertheimer EP. Comprised of four richly-detailed, techno-tinged excursions, the release includes the original, instrumental version of “Son,” which has now been rebooted with vocals from East London MC, Trim.
Elaborating on the backstory behind this new remix, Broder explains: “I met Trim at the Michelberger Festival in Berlin and we got to hang and vibe out at the Funkhaus studio for a few days, which was exciting because I was already a fan of his record. I played him a few things and when he heard this it was instant “yes” all around. We’ll be doing more stuff soon, this is just the beginning.”
