It’s been months since New York disco obsessive and Let’s Play House label owner Jacques Renault dropped his “Back to You” single back in January (listen to the original here), and yet a new rework has been sent over by Glasgow-based producer Almost. His version retains the bongos and ’80s-synth jabs present in the original track, but adds a sophisticated and souped-up bassline to the mix, which effectively pushes the tune even further into its prescribed club-ready sound. Though LPH hasn’t mentioned any official release of Almost’s remix, the imprint did announce that it’s next record will be a split 12″ between Swedish disco outfits M.D.C. and Name in Lights, both of which feature producer Emir “Fönk” Krkic.
