London’s Miles Mitchell (a.k.a. Mr. Mitch) has just released a free album of grimey bass tunes, titled Searching | Volume 1: Venus (the first in a Searching series). On “Bitch,” Mr. Mitch explores a tight, two-part song structure. The cut begins with a sparse, downtempo beat before showering us with a reverberant wash of buzzing synths and then repeating the two tropes again. It’s a lighter track from a producer who has been associated with the Butterz crew, a group that generally turns out more hyperactive slices of grime.
