The slightly ridiculous, outspoken, and radiant vibe coming from the cheery and fresh Glasgow-based producer Edwin Organ is bound to plant a wide grin on that face of yours. Having apparently left his career as a dance prodigy and undergoing a hermitic four year period where he dedicated himself to musical composition in the remote Ayshire country side in Scotland while surviving on a “predominantly potato based diet.” After taking hold of his craft, Organ migrated to Glasgow where to “unleash the fruits of his labour upon an unwitting and often uneasy general public.”
Fresh out the gate, Edwin Organ has our utmost attention and we could not help but ask to host his first single “Charlie’s House Cut” as today’s XLR8R download. In reflecting on the track itself, Organ states: “this song is an ode to the unfulfilling night out – To paying £10 entry on a Wednesday night, only to find the dance floor empty. You take solace in that fact that you don’t have to queue to take a leak. You stand there in awkward silence with Darren who’s all white shirt and whiter lines. This sweat box is his domain.”
