Leipzig-based producer Leibniz is set to release his self-titled debut EP on February 6 via Fairplay. Though not featured on that record, “Fein” will give you a sense of what Leibniz is all about. His roots clearly lie in house and techno, as evidenced by the heavily shuffling 808 groove that propels the track. Yet he brings a certain dark and suspenseful quality to the overall vibe with the help of chilly synth stabs, some eerie FX, and creepy mumbling—helping make “Fein” a foreboding house track that excels in its texture and moodiness.
