Hélder Russo‘s new EP is sure to move the coldest hearts. Emotionally-driven and transparent, the message behind Onírico is pervasive and evocative: dreamy atmospheres of love and caress, exotic rhythms, and tropical soundscapes. 

Opener “Dreaming” is another exploration into Russo’s deep and uncharted territories. The washy pads, evocative of moving string ensembles, are laden with sub-bass notes and a Latin disco beat that make up an atmosphere that is as gentle as it is assertive, as spiritual as it is physical. It gets flipped by London-based Leonidas for an alternative reading.

The youngest of 10, Russo is part of a family rooted in Ilha da Praia in Cabo Verde. He is one of Portugal’s most authentic talents in the native electronic music scene, with a growing discography that displays a keen sense of sincerity, originality, and technical perfectionism.
