The latest outing to appear on the growing RIS Labs label is the In My Room EP, a five-track effort from Hernene, who we’re told is a “new production project from a seasoned Los Angeles-based producer.” On the EP’s opening cut, “Rainy Dayz,” Hernene certainly sounds as if he knows his way around a dancefloor; the track is built on a solid four-on-the-floor and deep-reaching sub-bass, which sit beneath a steady stream of chopped chords, subtle arpeggio melodies, and a dash of female vocal snippets. The rolling, club-ready tune can be downloaded below, where a full stream of Hernene’s recent In My Room EP (out now in digital form via RIS Labs) can also be found.
