It’s been about a year since Kastle (a.k.a. Pittsburgh-based bass music producer B. Rich) released his debut on Starkey’s and Dev79’s Seclusiasis label. Now, he’s back with Time Traveler, a brand-new six-track EP also on the same label, which fuses classic hardcore rave elements with the theoretical beat programming of future garage. Kastle rides the lines between many genres on “I Know,” where he throws together pitched-up vocal stabs, floating electric pianos, wobbly bass, and jangly broken beats for a dancefloor killer.
