Los Angeles producer Justin Jay possesses an uncanny knack for making warm, melodic tech-house that doubles down on rich, often nostalgic textures. The Dirtybird devotee and Atlantic Records apprentice is releasing a new EP for Southern Fried today, which comes with this excellent rework by London artist Jack Fell Down. The two tech-house patrons’ production aesthetics meet deliciously in the middle: Jack Fell Down keeps Jay’s romantic sampling intact, and re-appropriates it for the witching hour, giving it an alien, danced-out feel. The Everything EP is out now, and you can preview the rest of its tracks after the jump.
