Brooklyn-via-St. Louis producer Phaseone is returning to Lefse with a split 7″ with fellow St. Louisan artist Parisian. Today, we have the a-side of said release, a loop-based song that once again shows Phaseone’s penchant for sampling. The tune errs on the more simplistic side of electronic music, revolving around a single phrase, “It’s not forever.” Click-clack beats heavily sink into a deep sea of bass that washes over the song about midway through while brassy horns, warm vocals, and fuzzy distortion glisten on the surface. “It’s Not Forever” and Parisian’s “Sean” will drop on January 29 via Lefse.
