Jinjé “I’m Psychic”
Head-snapping psych-house.
After his recent outing on Ostgut Ton, Jinjé returns to London Messrs. Kick & Drum Records with new single “I’m Psychic,” out via digital purchase/streaming services on Friday, July 19.
“I’m Psychic” is a head-snapping, drone-filled slice of psych-house with neck-cracking percussion. It has received support from Jon Hopkins, who opened his Glastonbury DJ set with it.
Jinjé (a.k.a Lee Malcolm) is a founding member of experimental Leeds-based band Vessels, who have morphed into a maximalist live techno outfit on their last two albums, Dilate (released in March 2015) and The Great Distraction, which came out on Different Recordings in September 2017. Malcolm also had a run of techno releases under his Lee J. Malcolm moniker for EPM Records. Check out his XLR8R podcast here.
Ahead of the official release later this week, you can download “I’m Psychic” in full via the WeTransfer button below, or here for EU readers due to temporary GDPR restrictions.
