Atlanta-based producer Distal has sent over his version of “Keep It Up,” a cut from Blackbird Blackbird‘s forthcoming Boracay Planet EP (artwork above) for Lavish Habits. Distal’s remix balances bright, flashing chords with churning low end and booming drum hits. At times, the vocal snippets start to sound like synths themselves, giving “Keep It Up (Distal Remix)” an upside-down dizziness when paired with the fluttering electronic chirps. This rework will soon be paired with two other remixes, each by San Francisco artist Grenier, on a remix EP set for release via Lavish Habits.
