Chasing Unicorns may be based in Sheffield, but the nascent house label appears to be seeking sounds from artists who make their homes across the English Channel. Having set the precedent earlier this year with Dutchman Rene van Munster‘s Misschien EP, Chasing Unicorns has now recruited Amsterdam tunesmith Brabe to release his newest record, Love Philtre. Aside from three original house cuts by Brabe, Love Philtre also features a reworking of the title cut by London-based house maestro Citizen (we featured his unreleased “Members Only” track a few months ago). Brabe’s original production is treated to a complete makeover here; by including seductive synths and adding a steady bounce, Citizen crafts a club-friendly remix that resonates with sultry, late-night vibes.
