Here at XLR8R, we’ve had our ears blown away by the recent skweee sounds coming from Scandinavia, evidenced by our feature on the genre in issue 127. A new compilation from one of the genre’s flagship labels features this monster, a squeaky, anthemic take on dubstep rhythms featuring frenetic synth modulations and acidy flourishes. Watch out for future Sprutbass releases, as his diversity of influences and textures is quickly making him one of the stars of the Oslo scene.
