The London duo Maribou State has dropped a new EP today, passing along a track from the new release to help spead the word. “Pagoda” is a prime example of what makes Maribou State’s tracks continually worthwhile, as it balances moody textures and lush chords with rugged rhythms and a solid foundation of thick low-end. Throughout its almost six-minute course, the tune morphs seamlessly from section to section with just the right touch of pop aesthetic, making for a fluid listen that is prime for headphones and dancefloors alike. “Pagoda” is joined by three other similarly enticing tracks on the Scarlett Groove EP (artwork above), all of which can be streamed after the jump.
