Last week, Portland duo Philip Grass launched their new label Periphery Records with Summer Thing, a six-track EP featuring two collaborations with Emilie Weibel.

Across the EP, Philip Grass gives an exercise in groovy, sun-tinged house that, as the label aptly describes, is built for “driving with the windows down and warm, late nights with friends.” Full of swinging grooves and affecting melodies, Summer Thing kicks off Periphery in style and gives a range of vibes for summer dancefloors the world over.

In support of the EP, the label has offered up the opening cut, “The Warm Up,” featuring Emilie Weibel, an insatiable groove-laden track, as today’s XLR8R download, available via WeTransfer below.
