Italian newcomers Imago are set to release their debut EP, ?Nocturne, later this week. Closing out the five-track endeavor is “Return,” a pulsating, snare-less techno track that places a resonant acid lead at the forefront of its brooding textures. Here, the Imago trio focuses on creating a dark and gloomy atmosphere benath its sturdy rhythms, with machine-made FX ran through distilled layers of reverb and delay, melding in the background with an ever-present layer of dark, floating textures. The Imago outfit’s first official release will see a release on May 28 via the fledgling Trivmvirate label.
