Adding to its ever-expanding collection of in-your-face beat music, Hamburg-based imprint Saturate! has begun the new year with a free compilation of artists both longstanding and new to the label. Among the 27 handpicked tracks on Saturated! Vol. 3 is one standout from Moscovian stalwart Pixelord (a.k.a. Alexey Devyanin), whose Supaplex EP was deemed “nimble and airtight” by XLR8R last September. “Solving” finds Devyanin continuing his exploration of wonky, juke-inspired beatwork, complete with quick vocal chops and pummeling basslines.
