Originally appearing on Neneh Cherry‘s Four Tet-produced Blank Project LP (released via Smalltown Supersound earlier this year), “Spit Three Times” has been handed over to Lee Bannon for a remix treatment. As one would expect from the former XLR8R podcast contributor (who has an EP of his own on the way), the rework finds Bannon taking Cherry’s track deep beneath layers of icy chords and cavernous textures, allowing the seasoned vocalist’s lyrics only to seep through the few small cracks left in his murky reconstruction.
