Today, the Hamburg-based Hafendisko imprint is releasing the first edition of Hamburg Elektronisch (artwork above), a 20-track compilation gathering tunes from an impressive list of producers who call Hamburg their home, including the likes of DJ Koze, Tensnake, Isolée, and Lawrence among others. To help spread the word, they’ve offered Vincenzo‘s contribution to the release, “Tasmania,” a contemplative piece which serves as the collection’s closing track. Existing in the more heavenly regions of deep house, the song moves at an easy pace, letting the simple beat act as the steady bed for which any number of distant (and often reversed) string-like pads can pile on top of. The results are lush, trance-inducing, and in the right circumstances (we’re thinking late-night/early-morning sets), especially danceable.
