DFA affiliate Altair Nouveau (a.k.a. Brandon Mitchell) recently remixed LA synth-popper Baron von Luxxury‘s lead single from his 2012 LP The Last Seduction. Lifted from the subsequent The Last Seduction Remixes & B-Sides album, “Terry Richardson (Altair Nouveau Remix)” finds Mitchell taking the original track’s heavy dose of ’80s-inspired cheese out of the mix, downplaying the vocals, and streamlining the organic instruments—resulting in a cosmic club track with a groovy, poolside vibe that could fit into just about any cocktail-hour DJ set.
