Before the release of London-based outfit Colo‘s debut LP UR via Ki on March 10, Russian producer and label mate Monokle (pictured above) is offering up a fresh take of the previously released “The View from Nowhere” single. Monokle provides a densely textured and glitchy version of the track, replacing long stretches of singing with a detail-oriented beat and swapping out Colo’s nostalgic tone for a mixture of percolating vocal snippets and flinching synths. “The View from Nowhere (Monokle Remix)” highlights the original song’s underlying morose qualities to great effect.
