As more and more young, up-and-coming producers emerge onto the scene of electronic dance music, the veterans can often become obscured. Some have even begun reinventing themselves and starting fresh with new monikers, like West London dubstep producer D1, who is now making house tunes under the name Oscar Luweez. Released this month, his Metempsychosis EP is suggestive of his musical transition. “This is A Dream” is an old-school house number from that record, one which is topped with soft, delayed vocals, minor chord stabs, and an agogô-driven percussion loop that’s sure to keep any dancefloor happy and grooving.
