Tomorrow marks the release of the third album by Detroit-born-Berlin-based electro/techno wunderkind Jimmy Edgar, who precedes the auspicious occasion by letting go of a free tune you won’t find on Majenta (artwork above). And it makes sense, too; “U Need Luv,” while a totally solid and well-crafted homage to ’90s house music, is almost completely uncharacteristic of the producer’s catalog. Regardless, Edgar’s track makes for a tasty morsel of stylish dance music, which arrives just in time to tide us over until his first album in nearly two years arrives via Hotflush. (via Pitchfork)
