With the sweeping “Vigo,” Russian producer Monokle seems to have no trouble keeping his momentum up after the solid Saints LP from last year. Lifted from Mirrors, a four-track EP released by Fuselab this week, the tune was co-produced with fellow St. Petersburg resident Milinal, and stands as a bass-heavy jam steeped in moody atmospherics, with warped vocals crying out from behind the quick, percussive rhythm.
