There is a faint Balearic undercurrent to be heard in “White Rhythmic Mirror,” an otherwise dark and ghostly production from adventurous Spanish producer Henry Saiz. The subject of a remix EP earlier this month, “White Rhythmic Mirror” is also set to be included in Saiz’s upcoming Reality Addendum LP, which collects b-side and bonus cuts which did not make it onto his 2013 album, Reality Is for Those Who Are Not Strong Enough to Confront Their Dreams. Featured here, “White Rhythmic Mirror” takes an elongated route, building its chilly atmospherics in slow steps as thumping percussion keeps the beat below, and the eventual presence of hand-picked guitars and a rounded bassline make it nearly impossible to stand still. Saiz’s Reality Addendum collection will see an official release on June 19; in the meantime, a teaser video for the record can be watched after the jump.
