After the free release of “Winter Wifey” by San Francisco artist Kozee (not to be confused with the DJ Koze), London-based producer Venice Calypso (pictured above) has turned in a remix which builds upon the original track’s buyont house energy. Venice Calypso switched out Kozee’s clean, slow-burning rhythms and crisp vocals for stomping drums and chopped vocal samples that together give this version a decidedly rawer, subterranean vibe.
