After seeing a release as a single earlier this year, Dutch producer David Douglas‘ “Higher” tune has recieved a proper video treatment, which arrives today with news of his forthcoming full-length for Applescal’s Atomnation label. Though, sonically speaking, “Higher” does land on the cooler end of the spectrum, Douglas’ self-directed clip for the track focuses on a more fiery aesthetic seen not only in the warm tones marking much of the video, but also—quite literally—in the procession of slow-motion flames which consume the clip’s latter half. On May 6, “Higher” is set to appear as part of Douglas’ forthcoming Moon Observations LP.
