Next week, London’s Huntleys + Palmers imprint will be releasing “Time,” the latest effort from UK producer DrumTalk. The 10″, which comes backed by b-side cut “Magnetic” (and will also be available digitally), marries the label’s love of global rhythms with modern house sounds. Powered by clanging percussion, gradually cresting synths, and subtle vocal hooks, “Time” has already been gathering steam with DJs in recent months, and now, a proper video has been commissioned for the track. The clip was assembled by Ling Lee, who eschewed a narrative approach and instead pieced together a compellingly elaborate series of X-ray images in time with the music.
