Enduring sound experimentalist, noted Brain Eno collaborator, and Bedroom Community co-founder Ben Frost has announced that he’ll soon follow up his last solo studio album, 2009’s By the Throat, with the release of his fifth LP via Mute. Called A U R O R A, the Reykjavík-based artist’s next full-length record comes to us with no tracklist, but is said to offer a “de?ant new world of ?ercely synthetic shapes and galactic interference, pummelling skins and pure metals” when it drops on May 27. Before then, Frost will embark on a series of European tour dates, covering cities in Ireland, Germany, England, Spain, and even one Canadian appearance, among others. That list of performances can be found below (more info here), where the first in a series of films created by Trevor Tweeten and Richard Mosse to tease the music of A U R O R A, as well as the LP’s artwork, are also available.
