Last month, Shlohmoannounced that he would be releasing a new album, Dark Red, via True Panther/Wedidit, sharing a stream of lead single “Buried” in the process. Now, the LA beatmaker has unveiled the visual accompaniment to the production, which (as we reported) finds wobbly melodies, scattered drums, and distorted, hand-played basslines rise from a bed of electronic noise. The forthcoming record was deliberately crafted to be both violent and unsettling—an intention realized in director Lance Drake’s video for “Buried.” The seven-minute affair is described as a “surreal, bloody, and complicated nightmare that takes place on the gritty, blacker than black, abandoned, and desperate streets of Los Angeles, the artist’’s hometown.”

The video for “Buried” can be watched in full below, where we’ve also included an updated list of Shlohmo’s forthcoming European tour dates. Dark Red is officially due out on April 7.
