Fixmer / McCarthy Return with New EP
‘So Many Lies’ is due out April 18.
Terence Fixmer and Douglas McCarthy have announced their first EP together for eight years, which will be released April 18 via Planete Rouge.
Frenchman Terence Fixmer was launched onto the techno scene with a handful of releases in the late 90s, via International Deejay Gigolo Records and his own Planete Rouge. On his sophomore album (released 2004), he called on the services of the lead singer of cult band Nitzer Ebb, Douglas McCarthy, which was the birth of a fruitful collaborative pairing.
As a duo, they have tended to churn out avant-garde tracks, fusing elements of EBM, industrial and techno. Their latest effort, two-tracker So Many Lies, is no different, as the duo pick up on their “brooding techno” sound following an eight year hiatus.
