Amsterdam’s Rush Hour store has announced that it is reissuing a series of old Japanese boogie records, due out next week.

The first batch of 7” records scheduled for release are funk and soul numbers by Eri Ohno, Ruriko Ohgami and Ryo Kawasaki (in limited presses of 800 vinyls). The releases come after the label has recently been delving into Japan’s house music history too, with focus on Soichi Terada.

The organisation are also heading to the country itself this weekend, to the Izu Peninsula near Tokyo for the Rainbow Disco Club festival. Rush Hour hosts a showcase at the three day event, with San Proper, Hunee and label head Antal all heading over to join Soichi Terada.

The records can be pre-ordered at the Rush Hour store.
