Ableton Releases Live 9.2 Update
A new version of the company's flagship software is currently available as a public beta.
Berlin-based software developer Ableton has today released a public beta version of a new update to its flagship DAW, Live. The 9.2 update boasts a handful of improvements including “punchier transients” for clips warped using Complex and Complex Pro modes, improved fixed-tempo audio detection and more accurate warping, lower latency for Live sets using Max for Live devices and other third-party plug-ins, full latency-compensated automation, and a new Tuner device which is “not only for instrumentalists.” In addition, the 9.2 update brings some additional features to Ableton’s Push controller, including a new 64-pad drum mode, modulation wheel control and pitch bend via the controller’s touchstrip, and improved aftertouch pad response.
The public beta of Live 9.2 is free to existing Ableton Live 9 users, and can be downloaded here. In addition to today’s announcement, Ableton has also shared a new performance video for its Push controller which features Mad Zach and can be watched in full below.
