Iranian multi-instrumentalist Ashkan Kooshanejad (a.k.a Ash Koosha) is quickly making a name for himself as one of electronic music’s most fascinating and innovative artists. Having just dropped his remote, broken, and thrilling sophomore LP, I AKA I, via Ninja Tune, Ash Koosha’s latest music video for his track “Mudafossil” has recently been aired by the american cable network Adult Swim.

Having studied at the Tehran Conservatory of Music with a background in classical music, Ash Koosha specializes in “finding geometry in sound” and using field recordings to create a conspicuously unique concoction of heavy techno and intangible ambiance.

With lots of hype building, Ash Koosha is set to make his debut appearance in North America, which includes a performance at this years edition of Mutek in Montreal. With more dates to be announced, you can check out his current tour schedule below.
