Berlin Biennale Announces Compilation Album
Total Freedom has helped to produce 'Anthem,' which will be dripped out over the course of summer.
Ashland Mines (a.k.a. Total Freedom) has helped to produce the soundtrack to the 9th season of Berlin Biennale.
Berlin Biennale is a contemporary art exhibition that launched in 1998, and has been held at various locations across the city every two or three years since. This year marks the 9th edition, and to accompany the ongoing exhibition, the organizers have enlisted the help of Los Angeles-based DJ Total Freedom in curating a soundtrack entitled Anthem.
The aim of Anthem is to bring together musicians for collaborative work. It will be released as a series of limited 12″s over the course of summer, of which the first three include music by Fatima Al Qadiri, Juliana Huxtable and NGUZUNGUZU. The tracks will also be available to stream via the Berlin Biennale website.
Anthem #1: BB9 is expected to drop at the end of the month, and is available to pre-order from The Vinyl Factory. The first three tracks from Anthem can be streamed below.
